![]() I love learning more about artists and seeing how they deal with growth, creativity, and more as they evolve. The second documentary, Sleepless: The Story of Future Classic, could have a mix of both Flume’s career and his involvement with the independent record label Future Classic. Zawada’s multidisciplinary art practice is difficult to pin down by conventional standards, comprised of such diverse mediums as computer generated graphics. There’s four more parts to be released that I think will talk about what happened from 2017 to now which I am really excited for. The first documentary, Flume: When Everything Was New, will probably focus on the artist’s meteoric rise into his music space. It covered his rise to fame and when he finished touring for Skin that gave more insight into his life and creative journey. What I also missed admist this release is Flume posted a four part documentary series on YouTube. It could be why it took so long for him to return because of hesitancies releasing more experimental sounds. Flume, pressure box and wood stave siphon. ![]() The concept, the details of each shot is incredible to go with this more experimental sound than we’re used to hearing from Flume. Flume: When Everything Was New closely chronicals the making of, release and promotion of Flume’s sophomore LP Skin. Literally all I could think of was how was Flume’s Burning Man experience based on this video. It’s a mini-movie honestly that takes you on a trip. I highly recommend listening to the mixtape by watching the visualiser. A new documentary will remember the good times at a much-loved former theme park, which pulled in crowds from across Derbyshire.
